Dance:
Since I was little one, I have been dancing and performing. From high school to college, I was in school dance teams performing at the half times shows of basketball and football games. I even had the opportunity to dance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Aloha Bowl in Hawaii and for the Spurs professional basketball team in San Antonio, TX. In my early adulthood, I moved away from dance in fear of the party atmosphere of clubs and how women were perceived as dancers. I remember thinking how badly I wanted to go and express movement through my body. In recent years, I have created safer opportunities and better boundaries for myself and expressing my body through movement. Setting myself free on an dance floor sets my soul on fire.
Passion:
It is my passion & purpose to help people find healing within through working with the most natural approach of Mother Earth and Divine Source Energy. I believe that we all have the ability to walk on a path that leads us to manifest our best lives. By connecting with nature, we can connect with our own true nature. This helps us to see the beauty and magic in us and all around us.
Plants:
I am so grateful my mother raised us in the garden. My love for the earth also extends to the plants. They can teach us so many things. I have been working with some master plant teachers over the years and have loved exploring how they can nourish my body, mind, and soul. From the food I eat to the medicines I take. The power of the plants is remarkable.
Sound:
My family had a love for music. When my older sisters and I were little we would sing in church and practice our harmonizing on long road trips. I still love to sing and practice vedic chanting and modern icaros with my teachers. I have also started an instrument collection and love playing them from the heart. Singing and sound have had a profound effect on calming my nervous system and helping me to express myself in another creative outlet.
Service:
My next work projects include teaching yoga and working retreat operations at Soltara Healing Center in Sugar Beach, Costa Rica. Here I will be learning from the Shipibo lineage of plant medicine teachers and being of service to the global community of healing. I will also be continuing my education with Psychedelics Today and Being True to You.
Yoga:
From 2018 to 2022, I taught full time at radi8 HOT YOGA in Phoenix, AZ. Here, I was able to share my love of yoga by running our yoga school and international yoga retreats. Leading retreats is one of my favorite creative projects. Guiding attendees on a journey of exploration of self and connecting with nature is one of my passions.
